From Bern:
Via A6 to Thun-Nord
Along Bernstrasse in the direction of Thun
Take the second exit (Burgstrasse) at the third roundabout
Go as far as the Schlossberg turnoff

From Interlaken:
Via A8/A6 to Thun-Süd
Enter Thun via Weststrasse and Frutigenstrasse
Via Bahnhofbrücke, Freienhofgasse and Sinnebrücke to Obere Hauptgasse
Take the second exit (Burgstrasse) at the roundabout
Go as far as the Schlossberg turnoff
 

There is no parking on Schlossberg mountain, however, you can drive up to the castle to load and unload your luggage.

We recommend leaving the car at the City Ost "Schlossberg" (Schlossberg, 3600 thun) car park.  
You can reach the Hotel und Restaurant Schlossberg directly with the lift in the 3rd floor.

Hotel guests with a parking ticket will receive a price reduction at the reception

From Thun hospital and Burgstrasse
Cross Burgstrasse, follow the footpath as far as the public car park at the Schlossberg junction, follow ‘Schlossberg’ road as far as the castle gates (approx. 5-7 min.)

From Bernstrasse roundabout
Stairways in front of the ‘Free Mountain’ bike shop, behind Chutziturm take ‘Holi Mäz’ stairways in the direction of the castle (approx. 3 min.)

From Rathausplatz
Stairways adjacent to ‘Zunfthaus zur Metzgern’, at the end of the arcade go right up Holi Mäz, then left stairs up to the castle gates (approx. 3 min.)

From Lauitor roundabout
Stairways left of Café/Bar Clock Tower Station, at end of stairs follow Schlossberg road as far as castle gates (approx. 5 min.)

From Obere Hauptgasse
Kirchtreppe stairway adjacent to Restaurant Schmiedstube, after arcade continue up the stairs straight ahead, then take a left and follow Schlossberg road as far as the castle gates (approx. 5 min.)
